On a plot of land in the plains of Eastern Colorado, a family legacy stretching back 114 years grows alongside fields of grain cultivated for decades by a pair of quiet but dedicated twin brothers. Starting this year, 4-H youth in Washington County will join in on that legacy.
Colorado 4-H, in partnership with the Colorado State University Foundation, offers over a dozen scholarship opportunities annually.
The 24-hour event, from noon on May 6 to noon on May 7, demonstrates the power of collective generosity as alumni, students, friends, and faculty and staff support programs and areas across the University.
Alumnus and former faculty member Robert Longenbaugh devoted his life to water resources education, and a scholarship and his papers now support CSU students.
Since 1984, the First Generation Award scholarship program at CSU has been responsible for helping thousands of first-generation students graduate.
