Jennifer Aengst is one of 14 new Rural Initiative specialists who recently joined CSU Extension. Aengst will be focusing on how to improve the health of communities in Colorado's mountain region, which includes 13 counties stretching from Jackson County in the north to Custer County in the south.
Sydney Wilkinson is one of 14 new Rural Initiative specialists who recently joined CSU Extension. Wilkinson will be focusing on how to increase access to education for communities in southern Colorado, which includes 15 counties stretching from Mineral County in the west to Baca County in the east and north to Pueblo County.

The Sci on the Fly mobile outreach lab with a focus on VR technology and is debuting at the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo, which runs until Sept. 5. The trailer will be located in the Ag Pavilion.
This August, CSU Extension open a new Lake County Extension office marking the first time the organization has had a physical location in the county since the 1970s.
On September 1, Kurt Jones stepped into the role of regional director for CSU Extension’s mountain region, which includes Chaffee County, where he previously served as county director, as well as Clear Creek, Custer, Eagle, Fremont, Gilpin, Grand, Jackson, Lake, Park, Pitkin, Summit and Teller counties.

Colorado State University’s annual Ag Day tradition returns to campus on Saturday, Sept. 24, for the university’s 41st celebration of agriculture and athletics. Prior to kickoff of the Ram football team’s matchup against Sacramento State, the College of Agricultural Sciences will host the Nutrien Ag Day BBQ in collaboration with Colorado agricultural growers, producers and partners.
