But the stories we don’t hear as often, or as loudly, are those of people looking at the stubborn problems they face and deciding to act, innovate, and make themselves part of the solution.
Effectively managing Colorado’s limited water supply is a constant challenge. Yet, the state’s water industry is facing its own hurdles as it tries to maintain a robust and skilled workforce. To meet the needs of communities across Colorado, CSU’s Colorado Water Center hosted the first ever Colorado Water Workforce Summit in Denver from April 2-3, 2024.

Over $33,000 was on the line as sixty Colorado high school students competed in the Colorado Envirothon earlier this month. The natural resources competition was held March 4-5 at the Colorado State University Spur campus in Denver and hosted in partnership with the Colorado Association of Conservation Districts.
