From business development to food access, farmers’ markets are more than meets the eye
In the 1970s, the Larimer County Farmers’ Market in Fort Collins was started by a group of Colorado Master Gardeners as an outreach activity to give backyard growers who had too much produce an outlet to sell it. Now, it’s transformed into a powerful force for supporting local businesses and improving access to healthy food.
